Fleas Spread Disease
At roughly 1/8th of an inch, fleas are often hard to spot. They mature within a silken cocoon woven by the larva to which pet hair, carpet fiber, dust, grass cuttings, and other debris adheres. They can remain dormant in this cocoon state for up to nine months or until their environment deteriorates.
You can identify a flea by their reddish brown color and body covered in hairs/spines directed backward. Their hard, polished body acts as a shell designed with withstand scratching, squashing and mashing.
